Leather care
Wipe, don’t scrub
Wipe your leather bag with a soft, dry cloth after a long day, and blot spills straight away rather than rubbing them in. Keep it away from prolonged damp, direct heat and radiators, and let it dry naturally if it’s ever caught in the rain. Two or three times a year, work in a little natural leather balm to keep full-grain supple and protected. Store it loosely stuffed in its dust bag and out of direct sunlight — small scuffs and a deepening patina are simply how good leather earns its character.
Suede care
Brush, don’t rub
Gently brush suede with a clean suede brush to lift the nap and remove surface dust, always working in the same direction. If it gets wet, blot with a dry cloth and let it air-dry naturally before brushing again. Avoid water, oils and household cleaners, as they may leave permanent marks. Store it loosely filled in its dust bag, away from direct sunlight and humidity.
Canvas care
Spot clean, then air-dry
Remove loose dust with a soft brush, then gently dab marks using a clean cloth, cool water and a small amount of mild soap. Avoid soaking, scrubbing or machine washing, especially where canvas meets leather trim. Blot away excess moisture and reshape the bag before leaving it to air-dry naturally. Store it clean and dry to help prevent stains and mildew.
Hardware care
Polish, don’t overwork
Wipe metal hardware with a soft, dry cloth after use to remove fingerprints, moisture and surface residue. Keep it away from perfume, hand sanitiser, salt water and harsh cleaning products, which may dull or damage the finish. Never use abrasive polish. When storing your bag, wrap chains and clasps in soft tissue to prevent scratches and unwanted marks on the leather.
